In July 2014, the Task Force to Study the Impact of Ocean Acidification on State Waters was formed (Chapter 383, Acts of 2014).

The Task Force is to analyze the best scientific findings available concerning ocean acidification, and the potential risks of such acidification on Maryland waters and fisheries. Also, the Task Force will recommend strategies to mitigate the potential impact of ocean acidification on State waters and fisheries.

Authorization for the Task Force ends June 30, 2015.
